A graduate of Beijing’s Central Academy of Craft and Design, Ren Jian Hui is a renowned Chinese contemporary artist.
For two decades he explored various mediums and different styles. Then he found his personal form of expression, which he has continued to develop for the last twenty years.
While fundamentally modern, his paintings are impregnated with a traditional or primitive aspect. Generally, in a semi-realistic style and often in monotone hues, he revisits the exploitation and the possibilities of oil painting. This original paint treatment allows him to control the background and foreground of the canvas, to give them a different density.
Ren Jian Hui’s work has been featured in numerous international newspapers and is collected by international museums, corporate organizations and private collectors in America, France, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, etc. His works will be also presented at the London Art Biennale 2015.
